From backyard to Bay Area: inclusive sports for both typical kids and those with special needs.
I started E-Soccer (with the “e” standing for how anyone can be “exceptional”) because I wanted my sons with special needs to enjoy soccer alongside their typically developing peers. What started with just a few kids on a field has expanded into multiple programs across the country and world, making an impact on families from California to Kenya.
Since its inception, it has expanded to other sports programs, like E-Hoops, E-Dance, and E-Fitness. E-Soccer has worked with the San Jose Earthquakes, and E-Hoops has partnered with the Golden State Warriors several years in a row. It is incredible to see how much could be accomplished with just a dream and a field, and I know we can’t even imagine now what is to come. You can learn more about E-Sports here.
